Karmic Debt 14 — Karmic Debt 14 — The Debt of Freedom
Reduces to 5. The account is settled by moderation — freedom used with a limit on it.
How this number is found: Look at the two-digit total before it was reduced. If it was 13, 14, 16 or 19, the debt is read alongside the reduced number.

The lesson
Freedom with a self-imposed limit
A 14 reduces to 5, and carries the 5's mobility with an added instability. Fourteens report frequent unplanned change — jobs, homes, relationships — and a susceptibility to whatever the era's easy escape happens to be. Very little in this life stays still on its own.
The tradition reads it as an account from freedom previously misused, and prescribes self-imposed structure: routine, moderation, commitments kept even when the exit is available. The change does not stop; the damage from it does.
Strengths
- Adapts to upheaval that would flatten others
- Genuinely wide experience
- Learns from the hard route, thoroughly
Challenges
- Constant unplanned change
- Susceptible to excess and escape
- Commitments broken faster than made
How the tradition settles it
Moderation, chosen rather than imposed. A 14 that sets its own limits stops having them set by circumstance.
