Numerology name correction
Spellings of your own name that reach a chosen number — calculated, shown in full, and with nothing promised beyond the arithmetic.
Name correction is the most searched question in Indian numerology and the one most often answered badly. The idea is simple: every spelling of a name has a number, small changes to the spelling change that number, and practitioners recommend aligning the name's number with the Life Path from the birth date — or with a number whose qualities the person wants to strengthen.
This tool does the arithmetic and shows it. What it will not do is invent a name. It proposes only the changes a real Indian name actually takes — Rajiv or Rajeev, Sunita or Suneeta, a doubled letter, a trailing 'a' or 'h'. If none of those reaches the number you asked for, it says so rather than manufacturing a spelling nobody would ever use.
It also makes no promise. A spelling change changes a number. Whether that matters is a question about you and the tradition you hold, and it is not one an arithmetic tool can answer for anybody.
How the calculation works

Find the name's current number
Each letter takes a Pythagorean value (A=1 … I=9, then repeating), the values are added, and the total is reduced — stopping on 11, 22 or 33.

Choose a target
The usual practice is the Life Path from the birth date, on the reasoning that a name should not fight the road. Enter your birth date and the tool will offer it.

Test plausible spellings
Only the changes a real name takes are tried: the standard transliteration swaps, a doubled letter, a trailing vowel. Each variant is recalculated and only exact matches are shown.
Worked example — Rajiv → Rajeev
Rajiv: R(9) + A(1) + J(1) + I(9) + V(4) = 24 → 2 + 4 = 6
Rajeev: R(9) + A(1) + J(1) + E(5) + E(5) + V(4) = 25 → 2 + 5 = 7
Two spellings both in ordinary use, two different numbers — 6 and 7. That is the whole mechanism.
Questions people ask
Will correcting my name change my life?
The tradition does not claim that and neither do we. A spelling change changes the name's number. Anyone who charges you for a correction while promising an income, a marriage or a recovery is selling something numerology does not offer.
Which number should I aim for?
The common practice is the Life Path from your birth date, on the reasoning that the name should support the road rather than pull against it. Some practitioners aim for the Bhagyank instead. Both are defensible; neither is a rule.
Should I change my legal name?
That is a legal and personal decision with real consequences — documents, records, how people who have known you for thirty years address you. Most people who are content with a correction made a small one and used it socially first.
Why does the tool refuse to suggest anything sometimes?
Because not every name can reach every number through a plausible spelling, and inventing one would be dishonest. If nothing natural reaches your target, the honest answer is that nothing does.
Does the surname count?
Numerology traditionally uses the full name as it is habitually used. If you are commonly known by a first name alone, calculate that; if you always use both, use both. Consistency matters more than which convention you pick.
